What does Lead Forensics cost?

There's no public price. Lead Forensics' pricing page lists two plans, Essentials and Automate, each with a "Book a demo" button. It says three things about cost:

  • The price depends on your traffic: "based on how much traffic you're generating to your website".
  • Users are unlimited and don't change the price.
  • The trial is one week long.

You'll find price estimates on other vendors' websites. They're estimates, mostly written by competitors, and they don't agree with each other, so we don't repeat them here. The only reliable number is the one in your written quote.

What contract will you be asked to sign?

Lead Forensics doesn't publish its customer contract. The terms of service on its website cover use of the website only, not the subscription. So everything below comes from other people, and you should check each point against the contract you're offered.

  • Customers describe yearly contracts. Two one-star Trustpilot reviews from September 2026 say their contract renewed automatically for a full year because notice wasn't given 90 days before the end. One of them also mentions a price rise at renewal.
  • A competitor's pricing page says the same. ZoomInfo's page on Lead Forensics pricing (updated May 2026) says contracts are yearly only, need 90 days' written notice to cancel, and rise by 10% each year. It says this comes from Lead Forensics' Master Service Agreement, but it doesn't link to it, and we couldn't check it.

To be fair to Lead Forensics: two reviews aren't the whole story. On the day we checked, it had a Trustpilot score of 4.6 out of 5 from 996 reviews. Plenty of customers are happy with it. The complaints are mostly about the contract, not the product.

Questions to ask before you sign anything

These apply to every tool in this article, not just Lead Forensics. Ask for the answers in writing, by email or in the order form.

  1. How long is the first term, and can I pay monthly?
  2. Does it renew automatically? For how long?
  3. How much notice do I need to give, by when, and how? (Email to whom, or a form?)
  4. What will it cost at renewal? Is there a fixed yearly increase?
  5. What happens if my traffic grows? Does the price change mid-term or at renewal?
  6. If it doesn't work for my business after the trial, can I stop without paying the rest of the year?

Then put the notice date, not the renewal date, in your calendar the day you sign.

Alternatives you can pay for monthly

All of these publish prices on their own websites. Prices exclude VAT.

Leadfeeder is the best known. Its free Lite plan shows up to 100 companies a month with a 7-day history, which is enough to see whether a lookup is worth paying for on your site. Watch the yearly plans: they're paid upfront and renew unless Leadfeeder receives your cancellation 30 days before the end. Our Leadfeeder pricing article has every tier.

Leadinfo, from the Netherlands, shows prices in pounds as well as euros, and has a short notice period: one month before the next invoice, if you chose monthly invoices. See Leadfeeder vs Leadinfo for how the two compare.

Snitcher, also Dutch, is the cheapest to start and says plainly that there are no long-term contracts or cancellation fees. Access runs to the end of the period you paid for.

Albacross, from Stockholm, offers monthly billing at €84, or €59 a month if you pay for a year. Its pricing page doesn't say how to cancel; ask before you pay for a year.

Will any of these work for a small UK business?

All five lookup tools work the same way: they look at the network a visit comes from. If it's a company's own network, they can name the company. If it's home broadband or a phone on 4G, there's no company to name.

That matters more than the contract. If you sell to larger companies whose staff browse from the office, a lookup will give you a list worth working through. If your buyers are other small firms, sole traders or people at home in the evening, the list will be short whatever you pay. The cheapest way to find out is a free trial or Leadfeeder's free plan, before any sales call.

UK data law also applies to these tools, because they process data about your visitors. Our article on whether website visitor identification is GDPR compliant covers the questions to ask.

Is there another way?

A lookup answers "which company visited?". For many small businesses the better question is "who's ready to talk, and about what?", and the visitor can answer that themselves.

Signal reads what a visit shows (the pages read, where the visitor came from, whether they've been before), asks one short question when the answer would change what to offer, and gives ready visitors a quick way in: a call, a call back or WhatsApp. It doesn't buy contact data and never stores IP addresses. When a visit comes from an organisation's own network it shows that organisation's name; home and mobile connections never show one. You get fewer names than a lookup promises, but each one comes from someone who chose to give it. Plans start at €39 a month with no contract; see pricing.

When is Lead Forensics the better choice?

  • You sell to mid-size and large UK companies and want a list of which ones are researching you.
  • You'd rather deal with a UK company and talk to someone before you buy, instead of signing up online.
  • You have a large team. Users are unlimited, so the price doesn't grow with the number of salespeople.
  • You're happy with a yearly contract because you've checked the terms and know you'll use it all year.

If that's you, book the demo, ask the six questions above, and get the answers in the order form. See all our comparisons.
