Signal for clinics and practices

New patients find the booking button before they give up

People look for a practice in the evening, when nobody answers the phone. They read two pages, can't find how to start, and book somewhere else. Signal asks whether they're new, then puts the right next step in front of them.

Our general demo: a service business's website with Signal running for real. The idea works the same on yours.

Where it helps

Phone lines nobody answers after six

Evening visitors book a first appointment online or ask for a call back in the morning, instead of leaving.

Existing patients in the new-patient queue

One question sends existing patients to their own booking link or the cancellation line.

Questions you shouldn't ask online

Ask what kind of appointment someone needs, not about symptoms or health. You write the questions, so nothing medical is collected unless you ask for it.

Questions it might ask

  • “Have you been to us before?”
  • “What kind of appointment do you need?”
  • “Is it urgent?”

Next steps it can offer

  • Book a first appointment
  • Call me back in the morning
  • Ask us a question

Examples. You write your own, or the setup wizard suggests them from your website.

Questions

Does it work with our booking system?

If your booking system has a booking link (most do), Signal opens it in the popup or a new tab. There's nothing to connect.

What about patient privacy?

Signal only asks the questions you write; keep them about the kind of appointment, not symptoms or diagnoses. Contact details are only kept with consent and deleted after the retention period you choose.

We're always fully booked. Why would we need this?

Then use it the other way round: point people to the waiting list or a colleague practice, and send existing patients straight to their own links, so your phone line is free for the ones who need it.
